I imagine you’ve been wondering what I’ve been up to lately. I’m sorry I’ve not been in touch but
I’ve been so busy. Will try to catch you up with my activities for the past 8 months here.
From November, 2017 until now, much has happened. For over 10 years, A German manager,
named Ursula Kiel (aka Ulla) who is also a radio presenter, has been playing my songs, loved
them and wanted to be my manager. I was very happy to accept this offer.
From that moment on, so much has changed. Honestly, she has turned my life upside down in
many ways.
She started by making videos of 6 of my songs for youtube. Then came the big Christmas Special,
which was on a radio station in Germany, that is heard worldwide. For the next few months, she
contined to make videos of all my original songs (I’d had 40 to start with before she came along) so
that by mid March, 2018, I had over 110. She had also made videos of some cover songs I’d recorded
that fans love, so that now I have nearly 120 videos on youtube. I hope you’ll check them out!
Then, due to requests from my fans and Ulla’s encouragement, I decided to release two new 20-song
CDs, including “The Best of Judy Welden” – 25th Anniversary and “Judy Welden Gospel – 20
Songs of Faith” – 25th Anniversary. Here all songs, not song clips, at links provided:
Anyone who is familiar with productions knows this is a lot of work, for example, the selection of the songs,
the placement of them (which I did) and the creation of new promotional films for the publication of these
CDs, which Ulla made. Always in between interviews and much more. So I did not realize how fast time
passes. Over and over again, Ulla found new radios stations to play my music as an integral part of their broadcasts and well beyond the borders of America. Thanks to Ulla, I have listeners in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Italy and a lot of more countries. All this takes a lot of time and effort.
Ulla’s big dream is to come to America.. so for Valentines Day, I wrote a song about her, titled “Her Heart
Beats For America”. I had Phil Coley write the melody and record it.. and it was an instant success; has a
great video on youtube. I would have sung it myself but my local producer was not available
Since April of 2018, Ulla and I have co-written two other songs. Ulla wanted to write a Mother’s Day song,
so we invited Phil Coley to write a melody and record his voice on a special song called “Thank you, Mom”
After this one, we wrote again a song titled “Her Georgia Garden” and my friend, Ray Lani, wrote the melody
and recorded it. He’s the one who mastered both my new CDs.
Then for Father Day, I wrote a song alone, for all the fathers in the world. I called it “That’s My Dad”. It was
sung at a gig I had at a local restaurant with a young talent, Xak. The genres there were wide-ranging from
Pop to Country, to Blues. Along with cover songs, I sang 6 or my originals. It was a big success and and everyone
there had a great time, including us!
I can offer this type of show for restaurants or private parties or even a concert in churches. For this type of
event, you can choose one or two singers and I will provide you with the type music your listeners will want
to hear. I am also available for interviews, but please inquire 4 weeks before your event so I can plan and be
fully committed to it. Contact me concerning your plans; where and how many people, and I’ll make an offer.
Thanks so much for your wonderful support. I will keep you updated on all future aspects of my career.
Blessings and love,
Judy Welden
